Today is the 2nd of February 2017. Do you all know what that means??? It has officially been a year since I started My Heart’s Cry !! *whoop whoop*
I know for someone else, one year might not be anything and in the grand scheme of things, it isn’t much. However for me, it’s a testament of the faithfulness and sustaining power of God! When I first started, I really was fearful. I felt like I had to be perfect before I could start anything like this. God really had to show me that He can continue to mend and encourage me simultaneously whilst He uses me to mend and encourage others. That’s what makes my heart just melt… God is so faithful.
I want to say a very very big thank you to everyone who reads this blog. Thank you to my subscribers (if you haven’t subscribed, scroll to the bottom of this page and do so). Thank you to everyone who has supported me near and far. Every single comment, like and share has meant so much to me. I’m blessed so much by all of you.
This is a new year for My Heart’s Cry, so I wanted to share what you can all expect to see this year.
1) More consistency- I am currently in my final year of University, so it is quite difficult to maintain consistency. With that said, I do want to blog more than I did last year. Last year, I posted about every quarter lol. It was terrible. This year, I’ve set myself the goal of being consistent with my posts. This is a special month though, as it’s My Hearts Crys’ birthday month. So I’m planning some extra posts for this month :).
2) More transparency– Transparency heals! I’m learning that my life is actually not my own. So why hold onto things that can heal someone else? Obviously there’s a thing called wisdom but I’ve realised that people identify with someone who is real, human and transparent. I want people to read aspects of my story and receive encouragement, healing and salvation. I want people to know that they are not alone in their struggles.
3) More psychological/mental health topics– I’ve always wanted this blog to have topics on mental health illnesses but I didn’t include any last year. I study psychology but beyond that, a big part of my testimony is overcoming depression and insanity (by God’s grace). I also have a heart for those who struggle with their mental health. So you can expect a lot more in that area.
So stay with me guys- it is a journey. I am in pursuit of wholeness and freedom and I pray that we will continue to walk this path together ❤️❤️
